The Bowers & Wilkins (B&W) DM602 S3 speakers are two-way, stand-mount/bookshelf speakers primarily known for their large 7-inch Kevlar mid-bass driver and the incorporation of B&W's Nautilus™ tube technology for the tweeter, providing high performance for their size.

Woven Kevlar Mid-bass Driver: The speakers utilize a 7-inch (180mm) woven Kevlar cone for the bass and midrange frequencies. This material, a signature B&W technology, helps to eliminate the build-up of unwanted standing waves within the cone, resulting in cleaner, more authentic sound reproduction.
Nautilus™ Tube-Loaded Tweeter: High frequencies are handled by a 1-inch alloy-dome tweeter that uses technology trickled down from B&W's flagship Nautilus series. A tapered tube behind the tweeter absorbs unwanted sonic radiation from the back of the diaphragm, ensuring a purer high-frequency output.
Vented Box Design (Bass Reflex): The speakers feature a large cabinet with a flared front-firing reflex port, which dramatically increases bass efficiency and power handling, contributing to an extended and more powerful bass response compared to smaller models.
