This is an Eleca PA250 attenuator for 100 watt guitar amps. It works well, its does what its supposed to do, i just dont really need it. I got "hot and bothered" about attenuators a while back because of the hype, but with a MV amp, they're just unnecessary.......I know some people say they're necessary on an MV amp...... but not for me.
Id prefer to trade it for some delay, reverb, EQ, OD or wah pedals......maybe a partscaster or a hot set of humbuckers. If you have a pair of greenbacks, id throw some cash in unless you wanna work something with a pair of G12T75'S...... I don't know, whaddaya got?!?!
Anyway, this thing is the exact same as the Harley Benton PA250, except it says Eleca on it.....its basically brand new, I may have almost 2 hours of play on it. It definitely tames the decibels and as long as you don't have it maxed out it doesn't "sterilize your tone" the only real benefit i noticed on the 2203x is that there was a psychological effect of looking over at my amp and seeing the volume at "7" and not on the threshold of going permanently deaf.......so, if you're curious about attenuators and if the hype is real, here's your chance to trade me some of the stuff you dont use for some of the stuff I dont use......
