custom hand made fly rods dating back to around 1900. Carrying case that holds both rods. No reel.
Rod (with the black cork grip and aluminum sliding rings):
This is a classic 1960's American fiberglass fly rod or ultra-light spinning rod.
Cork grip + aluminum sliding-ring reel seat (no hood) + red/white silk wraps + agate or carbide stripping guide = very typical of brands like Conolon, Phillipson, Shakespeare Wonderod, Heddon, Garcia/Conolon, or early Fenwick. 6½–7½ ft
-Rod (cigar-cork grip, decorative winding check, same red/white wraps):
Same era and very similar construction. The slightly different grip shape and the carved winding check are just minor factory variations; many manufacturers made several grip styles on the same blank series.
These 50–70-year-old glass rods have a huge following today for small-stream trout, panfish, and the pure fun of their slow, parabolic action.
